Why are we different?
Conventional Chiropractic
Currently, most conventional chiropractors focus on goals like decreasing muscular spasm, increasing range of motion, and reducing pain, often with the help of various therapies. This type of care falls under the category of symptom reduction/management, typically through structural manipulation (ie “the crack”).
Neuorospinal Chiropractic
At Foundation Chiropractic of Albany, our unique focus is neurospinal correction.
Dr. Bloom is the only Albany area chiropractor to practice neurospinal chiropractic.
Neuorospinal chiropractic looks for the underlying shifts in the spinal cord/nervous system (neurospinal shifts) that often present themselves as symptoms, or secondary conditions. These shifts occur when your body has trouble adapting to stress: physical, mental, or chemical. Neurospinal corrections can remove those shifts.
Picture your spine as the foundation of a building. When the foundation is unstable, the floors creak, the walls crack and the windows and doors will not close properly. Even if you spend time fixing the damages, without addressing the underlying foundational shift, in time the problems will need to be repaired again. Our goal at Foundation Chiropractic is to address neurospinal shifts, such as adverse mechanical cord tension (AMCT) first, before attending to structural shifts in the spine. Taking care of the neurological and then the bio-mechanical functions, enables your body to hold the adjustment for longer, thus building a healthier and stronger foundation.
Choosing the right office for your health concerns is a personal choice and an important decision based on rapport, trust and expertise. With over 25 years experience, Dr. Bloom is happy to discuss if Foundation Chiropractic is the right fit for you. Contact our office to schedule a free preliminary consultation.
